Description

These crunchy southwestern chicken wraps are a delicious and healthy 15-minute lunch option, packed with fresh veggies, shredded chicken, tangy sauce, and a satisfying crunch from Fritos. Perfect for a quick and flavorful meal.

Ingredients

Sauce

  • 3/4 cup sour cream
  • 3/4 cup salsa
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons taco seasoning

Wraps

  • 4 large tortillas, wrap size
  • 1 1/3 cups shredded lettuce
  • 1/2 cup tomato, diced
  • 1 whole avocado, diced
  • 1/2 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 2 cups cooked chicken, shredded
  • 1 cup Fritos, crushed

Instructions

  1. Make the sauce: In a bowl, mix together sour cream, salsa, and taco seasoning until well blended to create a flavorful southwestern sauce.
  2. Prepare the tortillas: Lay a tortilla flat on a cutting board and spread 1 heaping tablespoon of the sauce over the bottom half, leaving a 1-inch border on each side to avoid overflow when rolling.
  3. Add the fillings: Sprinkle 1/3 cup of shredded lettuce, 2 tablespoons of diced tomato, 1/4 of the diced avocado, 2 tablespoons of shredded cheddar cheese, and 1/2 cup of shredded cooked chicken evenly over the sauce.
  4. Add crunch and extra sauce: Crush 1/4 cup of Fritos and sprinkle them over the chicken, then drizzle 1 tablespoon of the sauce on top for extra flavor.
  5. Roll the wrap: Fold in the sides of the tortilla and roll it tightly from the bottom up to secure all the ingredients inside. Repeat the process with the remaining wraps.
  6. Serve: Cut the wraps in half diagonally and serve immediately for a crunchy, flavorful lunch.

Notes

  • Wrap leftovers can be wrapped in plastic wrap and stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
  • For a spicier kick, add extra taco seasoning or hot sauce to the sauce mixture.
  • Use your favorite brand of tortilla; whole wheat wraps can add extra fiber.
  • Substitute Fritos with your preferred crunchy chips if desired.
