Description

This Paleo Hot Chocolate is a rich and creamy warm drink made with coconut cream, unsweetened baking chocolate, and maple syrup for a healthier, paleo-friendly treat perfect for cozy days.

Ingredients

Liquid Ingredients

  • 1 cup Califia Farms Toasted Coconut Almond Milk or any paleo-compliant almond or coconut milk
  • 2 tablespoons coconut cream
  • 2 tablespoons maple syrup (adjust to taste)

Chocolate Ingredients

  • ¼ oz unsweetened baking chocolate, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon cocoa powder

Instructions

  1. Combine Ingredients: Place all the ingredients — almond milk, coconut cream, chopped unsweetened baking chocolate, cocoa powder, and maple syrup — into a small saucepan.
  2. Heat Mixture: Cook over medium-low to medium heat for 3 to 5 minutes, whisking continuously to blend all ingredients and melt the chocolate. Make sure the mixture gets hot without boiling to maintain texture and flavor.
  3. Serve: Once the chocolate is fully melted and the hot chocolate is smooth, remove the saucepan from the heat. Pour the hot chocolate into a mug and enjoy immediately.

Notes

  • Adjust the maple syrup quantity to your preferred sweetness.
  • Use high-quality paleo-compliant dairy substitutes to maintain the paleo integrity of the drink.
  • Do not boil the hot chocolate as it may alter the texture and flavor.
  • For a thicker consistency, increase the coconut cream slightly.
