Description

Pimm's Cup is a classic and refreshing cocktail combining Pimm’s No. 1 with sparkling lemonade, fresh lemon juice, and garnished with vibrant slices of cucumber, strawberries, basil leaves, and lemon. This easy-to-make drink is perfect for warm-weather gatherings, offering a light and fruity flavor that's both charming and thirst-quenching.

Ingredients

Liquids

  • 2 (330 ml) cans Sanpellegrino® Limonata
  • 1 cup Pimm’s No. 1
  • ½ cup freshly squeezed lemon juice

Fresh Produce

  • 1 cucumber, thinly sliced
  • 8 strawberries, quartered
  • 8 fresh basil leaves, torn
  • 1 lemon, sliced, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Combine Ingredients: In a large pitcher, mix together the Sanpellegrino Limonata, Pimm’s No. 1, and freshly squeezed lemon juice. Stir gently to blend the flavors.
  2. Add Fruits and Herbs: Incorporate the thinly sliced cucumber, quartered strawberries, and torn basil leaves into the pitcher. Stir them in to evenly distribute.
  3. Infuse Flavors: Let the mixture stand for about 10 minutes to allow the flavors to mingle and develop a refreshing taste.
  4. Prepare Glasses: Fill four highball glasses with ice to chill the drink.
  5. Serve: Pour the cocktail evenly over the ice-filled glasses, making sure to divide the cucumber slices, strawberries, and basil leaves evenly among the glasses.
  6. Garnish: Add a slice of lemon to each glass for a bright, aromatic finish and visual appeal. Serve immediately while chilled.

Notes

  • Sanpellegrino Limonata provides a nice balance of sweetness and tartness, but any sparkling lemonade can be used as a substitute.
  • Allowing the fruit and herbs to sit in the mixture briefly helps to enhance the infusion, but avoid letting it sit too long to maintain sparkle.
  • This cocktail is best served fresh and chilled.
  • For a non-alcoholic version, omit the Pimm’s No. 1 and add an extra 1 cup of sparkling lemonade.
