The magic of the Creamy Tuscan 'Marry Me' Chicken Recipe lies in its simple yet essential ingredients. Each component brings something unique: from the juicy chicken and fragrant garlic to the luscious heavy cream and savory parmesan, every flavor and texture builds a harmonious dish that’s as beautiful to look at as it is to taste.

  • 2 lbs. organic chicken breasts: The star protein, juicy and tender when cooked properly.
  • 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil (for searing): Adds richness and helps with searing the chicken to a perfect golden brown.
  • 1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil (for the sauce): Used in the sauce to build flavor.
  • 1 teaspoon sea salt (for seasoning the chicken): Enhances the natural flavors of the chicken and vegetables.
  • 1 teaspoon sea salt (for the sauce): Used to season the sauce.
  • 2 teaspoons On Everything All-Purpose Blend: A flavorful seasoning to infuse the chicken with savory depth.
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter: For sautéing garlic and building a luscious sauce base.
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced: Brings aromatic warmth and subtle heat to the dish.
  • 1 ½ tablespoons Tuscan Marry Me blend: An herbaceous mix that defines this recipe’s signature taste.
  • 1 ½ cups organic heavy cream: Creates the silky, creamy texture that coats everything so beautifully.
  • 1 cup organic chicken stock or broth: Adds moisture and depth to the sauce.
  • 3 tablespoons white cooking wine: Brings a gentle acidity and complexity, balancing the creaminess.
  • ½ lemon, freshly squeezed: Brightens the sauce with refreshing citrus notes.
  • 1 cup freshly grated parmesan: Imparts gooey cheesiness and richness.
  • 1 tablespoon organic tomato paste: Provides subtle sweetness and vibrant color.
  • 1-2 cups grape or cherry tomatoes, halved or whole: Adds juicy bursts of freshness and a pop of color.
  • 1 cup organic kale, chopped: For a nutritious and slightly earthy green element that complements the sauce.

How to Make Creamy Tuscan 'Marry Me' Chicken Recipe

Step 1: Season the Chicken

Start by tossing your clean chicken breasts in sea salt and the On Everything All-Purpose Blend, coating every inch for maximum flavor. Letting it rest for 5 to 10 minutes allows the seasonings to sink in, giving the chicken a delicious foundation that will shine through every bite.

Step 2: Sear the Chicken

Heat butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat until melted and bubbling, then add your minced garlic. Sauté until it’s fragrant and translucent, which takes about 1 to 2 minutes—this step releases those irresistible aromas that hint at how good this dish will be. Next, place the seasoned chicken in the skillet and cook each side until golden brown, about 3 to 4 minutes per side. This quick sear locks in juices and creates a beautiful crust. Set the chicken aside to rest while you prepare the sauce.

Step 3: Make the Creamy Tuscan 'Marry Me' Sauce

With the same skillet, add a tablespoon of olive oil and heat it through. Stir in the Tuscan Marry Me blend, 1 teaspoon sea salt, and the tomato paste, letting the flavors meld together into a fragrant blend. Lower the heat to medium-low and slowly incorporate the heavy cream, chicken stock, freshly squeezed lemon juice, and white cooking wine, stirring constantly. Let the sauce gently bubble to thicken for a couple of minutes, then whisk in the freshly grated parmesan until it melts completely, creating a smooth, luscious texture. Finally, toss in the chopped kale and tomatoes before nestling the chicken back into the skillet. Let everything simmer gently for 15 to 20 minutes until the chicken is cooked perfectly tender and the sauce thickens beautifully, spooning the sauce over the chicken as it cooks for maximum flavor absorption.

Garnishes

Sprinkle a bit of freshly grated parmesan over the top before serving for an extra cheesy touch that feels indulgent and brings the whole dish together. A small handful of fresh parsley or a drizzle of high-quality olive oil also adds a lovely freshness and visual appeal.

Side Dishes

This recipe is incredibly versatile when it comes to sides. Serve it alongside fluffy gnocchi to soak up every drop of creamy sauce, a bed of pasta for a hearty meal, or even simple steamed vegetables or cauliflower rice for lighter options. Garlic bread or crusty artisan bread are also fantastic for mopping up the sauce and making the dish even more satisfying.

Creative Ways to Present

For a stunning presentation, plate the chicken atop a swirl of creamy mashed potatoes or a nest of sautéed spinach. You can also arrange the tomatoes and kale artistically around the chicken, creating a colorful, vibrant plate. Drizzle a little extra sauce on the edge of the plate to showcase the dish’s rich textures and invite your guests to dig in enthusiastically.

Make Ahead and Storage

Storing Leftovers

Leftovers are a dream with this cream-rich recipe. Store your chicken and sauce in an airtight container in the refrigerator, where it will keep fresh for up to 3 days. The flavors often deepen overnight, making your next meal even tastier.

Freezing

If you want to make this recipe ahead for busy nights, it freezes well. Portion the chicken and sauce into freezer-safe containers, leaving some space for expansion. Freeze for up to 2 months. When ready to enjoy, thaw overnight in the fridge for best results.

Reheating

Reheat gently on the stovetop over low heat to preserve the creamy texture and prevent the sauce from breaking. Stir occasionally and add a splash of chicken broth or cream if it seems too thick. Avoid overheating to keep the chicken tender and the sauce velvety.

FAQs

Can I use chicken thighs instead of breasts?

Absolutely! Chicken thighs work wonderfully in the Creamy Tuscan 'Marry Me' Chicken Recipe and can even add extra juiciness and flavor thanks to their higher fat content.

Is there a way to make this recipe dairy-free?

You can substitute the heavy cream with coconut cream or a cashew cream alternative, and use nutritional yeast instead of parmesan for a dairy-free version, though the flavor profile will be a bit different but still delicious.

Can I prepare this recipe for a larger group?

Yes, just multiply the ingredients accordingly. The steps remain the same, though you might need a larger skillet or cook the chicken in batches to get that perfect sear on each piece.

What can I substitute for white wine?

If you prefer not to use white wine, extra chicken broth or a splash of white grape juice mixed with a teaspoon of vinegar can provide a good balance of acidity for the sauce.

How can I make the sauce thicker?

To thicken the sauce, let it simmer a bit longer on low heat, or stir in a small slurry of cornstarch and water, taking care to whisk well so the sauce stays smooth and creamy without lumps.

Final Thoughts

You really can't go wrong with the Creamy Tuscan 'Marry Me' Chicken Recipe. It’s one of those dishes that feels like a special occasion but comes together with surprisingly simple steps and ingredients. Once you try it, I bet it will become a staple in your kitchen, perfect for impressing family, friends, or just treating yourself to something truly comforting and delicious.

Sauce

  • 4 Tbsps unsalted butter
  • 1 tablespoon Extra virgin olive oil
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 ½ Tbsps Tuscan Marry Me blend (You can purchase my Marry Me Blend for authentic flavor or make this homemade as well—See Notes)
  • 1 teaspoon sea salt
  • 1 ½ cups organic heavy cream
  • 1 cup organic chicken stock/broth
  • 3 Tbsps white cooking wine (You can substitute with additional chicken stock/broth)
  • ½ lemon, freshly-squeezed
  • 1 cup freshly-grated parmesan
  • 1 tablespoon organic tomato paste
  • 1-2 cups grape or cherry tomatoes, halved or whole (You can also substitute with 5-6 sundried tomatoes or roasted herb tomatoes, if desired)
  • 1 cup organic kale, chopped

Instructions

  1. Season the Chicken: In a large bowl, add your freshly cleaned and rinsed chicken along with the sea salt and On Everything All-Purpose Blend. Mix everything together until the chicken is fully coated, then let it sit for 5-10 minutes to absorb the flavors.
  2. Sear the Chicken: Heat a large 12-inch skillet over medium-high heat. Add the unsalted butter and let it fully melt. Add the minced garlic and sauté until fragrant and translucent, about 1-2 minutes. (If using sundried tomatoes, add them here.) Place the seasoned chicken in the skillet and cook for 3-4 minutes on each side until browned. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside on a plate to rest while you prepare the sauce.
  3. Make the Creamy Tuscan 'Marry Me' Sauce: In the same skillet, add 1 tablespoon of olive oil and let it heat. Stir in 1-2 tablespoons of the Tuscan Marry Me blend and sea salt until well combined. Add the tomato paste and stir until blended. Reduce the heat to medium-low and slowly pour in the heavy cream, chicken stock, lemon juice, and white wine, stirring until combined. Allow the mixture to gently bubble for 1-2 minutes. Add the freshly grated parmesan and whisk until it fully melts and the sauce thickens, about 2-3 minutes.
  4. Add Vegetables and Simmer: Stir in the chopped kale and tomatoes, mixing well. Return the seared chicken breasts to the skillet, nestling them into the sauce. Allow everything to simmer together for 15-20 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and tender. Stir the sauce occasionally and spoon it over the chicken as it cooks to keep it moist and flavorful.
  5. Serve: Remove from heat once done. Serve the creamy Tuscan chicken with your favorite side, such as gnocchi, rice, pasta, or steamed vegetables. Garnish with additional grated parmesan for extra cheesy flavor if desired. Enjoy your meal!
